Positive, Adaptable, Resilient.

Carolyn Sophia Skowron is passionate about sharing her story in the hopes that everyone who hears it can appreciate that they too are enough. That they too are worthy, and they can live their authentic self.

Over the last four years Carolyn Sophia Skowron has done just that. She is a published author and speaker who has shared her story of struggle and resilience in over 60 speeches to schools, community groups, a conference and a National Alliance of Mental Illness event.

Carolyn Sophia

From an early age Carolyn Sophia struggled in school both socially and academically. Feelings of self-inadequacy and isolation grew and led to a more severe depression. She never felt like she fit in. She ultimately was diagnosed with a Nonverbal Learning Disability. Her perspective began to change after a car accident along with finally fully embracing therapy and mindfulness. She shares a story of resolve and recovery and the realization that she too is indeed enough.

Carolyn Sophia connects with students in a down to earth, relatable way.  She is authentic and her positive message of resolve impacts those who hear her.

She hopes everyone recognizes that they are not alone and they too are unbreakable. She hopes that each person will understand that they too can use their voice. She would love to connect with you and understand if her message is right for your group or school.

Sharing My Story

Is everyone alive?! Carolyn Sophia mustered the strength to say as she emerged from the car after being crashed into by a hit and run driver. It sounds horrible, but this was the event that encouraged author Carolyn Sophia Skowron to change her view on life. After struggling with her mental health for years, she decided to take her reality into her own hands.

Unbreakable will take you on a journey of self-reflection, self-discovery, and what it takes to have hope after experiencing tragedy. In Unbreakable you'll learn about self-acceptance and self-love. Purchase now in multiple formats from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

What Others are Saying

“I highly recommend Ms. Carolyn Skowron as a guest speaker for your organization's upcoming event on the topic of mental health. I have had the privilege of witnessing Ms. Skowron's presentations firsthand when she spoke to my 8th-grade students at my middle school and I can confidently say that her insights and personal journey have had a profound impact on both the students and myself.

Ms. Skowron's ability to connect with her audience and share her own experiences with mental health is truly remarkable. She has a unique way of engaging her listeners and creating a safe and supportive environment for open discussions. Her presentations are not only informative but also inspiring, as she shares her personal struggles and triumphs, providing hope and encouragement to those who may be facing similar challenges.”

Alicia Guarnaccio, Teacher

“I was impressed with Carolyn’s professionalism and her confidence while speaking about difficult content. She was able to directly and carefully discuss topics that others shy away from. Luckily there are individuals out there like Carolyn who are able to face these conversations head on! Carolyn spoke to our all of 6th graders, as well as a group of our parents, and our staff! Even though we knew were already asking a lot of Carolyn, she offered to do additional sessions if the need was there.”

Brittany Sands, School Counselor

“During her presentations, she connected with my middle school students in numerous, individual ways.

Carolyn is very passionate about sharing her story and making a difference for her audiences.  She is well-spoken and provides heartfelt presentations.”
