  • I came across this book when I was looking to gain more insight on mental health, read it and while insightful, didn't really resonate with me. However, after a traumatic experience that left my mental health at an all time low, I immediately went back to this book as a source of comfort. I think it's an important read and I would encourage you to return to it in times of need.

  • Carolyn’s story was nothing short of remarkable. I found her story to be completely relatable to things I've gone through in my own life years ago and even now, struggles I still battle every day. This is a great read for anyone who has or does struggle with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, worthlessness or feelings of not feeling that you’re good enough. I finished this book in 2 days!!! Carolyn is a strong, brave, and persevering woman who definitely should be proud of herself. One line specifically really stuck with me, so much so that I printed it out to hang on my refrigerator. It may even be my next tattoo!! “No one deserves you more than you”. Thank you so much Carolyn for opening up your life and your struggles with the world. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your story! And I wish you the best success in your life and will remind you as well, you are not alone! Much love girl!

  • Unbreakable provides the reader with a realistic truth of what it's like to face mental health conditions as a child and young adult. However, it also provides complete and utter inspiration to those facing these difficulties, as well as ideas on how to be supportive to a loved one in a situation similar to this. Carolyn gives a REAL picture of how mental health conditions can affect an individual and what society can begin to do to break the stigma of talking about mental health. Highly recommend!
